We have a professional team of fishing guides with the leadership of Guillermo Sagui, who has an experience of 20 years in this area. He is recognised as one of the most important fishing guides in Patagonia.
From his curriculum vitae, we can mention that he has been a founding partner of the Chubut Fly Fishing Guide Association and Chairman of this Association during the period 1996-2003. Currently he is a professor in Chubut Fly Fishing Guide School.
Our main goal is to bring top pleasure in an awesome location to practice and enjoy fly fishing.
Our programs are based on the Futaleufú River, since we consider that it's the best fishing river of the area. In addition, it´s our intention to offer the fisherman a variety of places to enjoy without sacrificing the comfort the lodge offers.

Air Travel and Arrival:
The best route to Esquel, Chubut, is via Buenos Aires. If you are coming in on a international flight, you must change airports. One of our representatives will meet you at the Ezieza International Airport and drive you to the Jorge Newberry Domestic Airport. This transfer costs $50.00 USD for 1-2 persons and 80.00 USD for 3 or more persons. From the domestic airport in Buenos Aires you will take a three hour flight to Esquel where your guides will greet you and take you to the Challhuaquen.
Travel Documents:
No immunizations or visas are required to visit Argentina or Chile; however, you are required to have a valid passport.
Heath Issues: There are no immunizations required for entry into Argentina. For the latest information on health and immunization requirements worldwide, you may visit the Center for Disease Control web-site at www.cdc.gov. Because you may be in remote locations, make sure you bring any required medications and basic first aid supplies. Although your guides will have epinephrine pins and are trained to use them, we advise carrying a personal epi pin if you are allergic to any kind of insect sting.
Currency:
In Argentine you may use dollars or Argentine Pesos. The Argentine peso is fluctuating around 3.20 to the dollar. Check a major newspaper for the current status of the pesos. All your personal purchases should be made with cash either dollars or pesos. Currency exchange houses can be found in airports or in towns.
Travel Insurance:
Travel insurance is always wise to purchase when traveling extensively. Challhuaquen highly suggests that travel insurance is purchased by all visitors. Please note that although Argentina and Chile are safe countries and your hosts take every precaution necessary to ensure your well being, unexpected events do happen. Most people use travel insurance to cover travel upsets such as delayed or canceled flights, lost luggage and medical emergencies. All medications you might want or require should be brought with you. You can be further prepared by buying complete travel insurance that includes medical evacuations.
HOW TO GET THERE
You can reach Esquel with a direct commercial o private flight from Buenos Aires, or a flight from Buenos Aires to Bariloche and then a transfer to Esquel (200 miles).
The drive through the Andes is one of the most spectacular sceneries in all South America.
Whatever modality you choose, our staff will take you from the arrival place to the lodge.
If you would like to spend one night in Buenos Aires and enjoy a typical tango dinner in the city, we can do the necessary arrangements and will accompany you from the international airport to the chosen place.
